How to Hard Drive Cloning in MAC OS ?

We recommend SuperDuper for all your cloning needs if you're using a Mac. It's free, easy to use, and has been around for a long time. To install the app, download it, open the DMG file, and double-click on the icon. (Do not drag it to your /Applications folder as you would most Mac apps; instead, double-clicking on it should install it.)

When you launch SuperDuper after it has been installed, you will be greeted by its incredibly simple and intuitive interface. Select the source disc you want to clone from the first menu, next to "Copy." Select the destination disc you're cloning to in the second menu—this will completely erase the drive in the second menu, so make sure there's nothing important on it! When you're finished, press the "Copy Now" button. The procedure will start. (Yes, it's that simple.)

Finalize Your Drive Clone

This may take some time, but once completed, you have two options. If you want to replace your Mac's internal drive with the new drive (for example, if you're upgrading to a larger drive), you can open up your Mac and swap those now, then restart normally.
If you want to boot your cloned drive from USB, hold down the Option key as your Mac boots up and choose it from the boot list. Your cloned drive will be in the exact state that your computer was in during the cloning process, allowing you to continue working without interruption.
